Our aim is to leave a living and species-rich nature for the next generation, in the same way that we can admire it today. Sustainability characterizes all our actions, and we, the Musa Calma team, take responsibility in our use of resources.
OUR COMMITMENT
Our commitment is to the promotion of biodiversity and the continuous optimization of our processes in order to minimize emissions and reduce our CO2 footprint. Transparency and the protection of our planet are at the heart of everything we do.
Our raw materials come mainly from Switzerland and Europe. The production of our products takes place in a resource-saving way in Switzerland and Austria.
Inspired by the Swiss Alps
Surrounded by the mountains of our homeland, we pursue the mission of keeping transportation routes short to reduce emissions. In this way, we help to prevent additional pollution of our environment. The proximity to our suppliers enables us to enforce sustainability standards together. Our natural cosmetics are produced using renewable energy, equipped with an intelligent energy storage system.
In the spirit of the circular economy
Over 90% of our packaging consists of reusable and sustainable materials such as FSC-certified or recycled paper, glass with recycled content, tinplate and compostable cellulose. A small proportion comprises recyclable plastics made from monomaterials. Such single-origin monomaterials have lower CO2 emissions.
We combine the longevity of packaging with reduction and thus create for example refill packs in the future, for example, in order to protect our environment. We keep a close eye on progress in the development of new packaging materials and replace or reduce where possible, as our corporate values underline our thoughts and actions.
In the spirit of the circular economy, we carefully select our packaging materials and test them according to strict criteria to ensure the safety and protection of nature and our products.
Sustainable from seed to harvest to the finished product
We attach great importance to the high quality of the natural raw materials we use. From the seed to the harvest to the finished product, many work steps are carried out by hand.
